We Accept MedPay!

Medpay is a type of insurance you have on your OWN auto policy (Nationwide, Allstate, State Farm, GEICO etc) to help pay for Chiropractic treatment if you’ve been in a car wreck, whether it’s your fault or not. Medpay pays for you and ALL passengers in your car who are injured during the accident.  We always recommend you and your passengers use medpay. Most people are worried that if they use medpay it will raise their premium. Also people say why should I use MY insurance if the accident was not my fault.  The reason is simple…it will NOT raise your monthly or yearly premium and if it pays your chiropractic bill in full or part – that leaves more of the final settlement money in your pocket. Sounds too good to be true – right?  The reason is you paid EXTRA for this coverage.  When you took out your auto policy your insurance agent probably added Medpay and you didn’t even know it.  Medpay is not expensive…pennies a day. It is kinda like having dental insurance on top of your health insurance…you normally pay extra for dental insurance.

MedPay pays for you and ALL passengers in your car who are injured during the accident, up to your MedPay Limit (which depends on your policy). It will cover your passengers even if you were not hurt at all.

There are many people who think that if they use their MedPay coverage, their car insurance company will raise their rates, and so instead of using the coverage that they pay for, they decide to suffer in pain instead! BUT – this isn’t actually true – your monthly or yearly premium will actually NOT go up. Because this is extra coverage that you are paying for on top of your standard policy it doesn’t count against your standard policy.

And then there are others who don’t understand why they would use their MedPay if the at-fault driver has insurance that would pay for their coverage. Because your rates will not go up for using this coverage, and because the at-fault party is still responsible for your property damage, medical expenses, loss of wages, pain and suffering, etc this leaves more of your settlement money from their insurance company in YOUR pocket, where it belongs!

We encourage as many people as possible to utilize their MedPay when they come to see us for their auto accident treatment. You might even have MedPay on your policy and not even know it! If you don’t, we would absolutely recommend you reach out to your agent today to get it added – it will cost you pennies per day, and will be a lifesaver if you are ever in an accident.
